Karen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University and a MA/MFT in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Her past experience as a marriage and family therapist, certified Oregon mediator, civil engineer, surveyor, and business coach support perfectly her seventeen years of experience as a real estate broker.
Karen is a wife, mother and stepmother of five, and a long-time resident homeowner in the Eastmoreland area of Portland. She enjoys many interests, including sailing on her family's 32-foot sailboat Forever, home remodeling, singing in the community choir, playing her ukulele and hammered dulcimer, silk painting and jewelry making. She is very passionate about and active in both RE/MAX Equity Group Foundation's and her church's charity organizations. You may even encounter Karen zipping off to the market on her Vespa or cruising the neighborhood bike paths on her electric bicycle!
